Our Martial Arts Programs

Every black belt in our school started in exactly one place: a first class, slightly nervous, sleeves too long. The programs below are the pathway from that first class to wherever your family wants to take it: confidence for a shy six-year-old, fitness for a teenager, or the long road to black belt for anyone stubborn enough to walk it.

How are the programs structured?

Three stages, one pathway. Little Kids builds foundations through structure and play for the youngest students. Big Kids develops real technique, fitness and self defence for older children and teens. Adults train the full art at their own intensity. Every stage follows the traditional taekwondo belt system, with regular gradings marking earned progress.

Little Kids

The entry point, and the program we’re most precise about. Young children don’t need a drill sergeant; they need structure that feels like fun and instructors with deep patience. Classes build coordination, balance, listening skills and confidence, with taekwondo technique layered in as attention spans grow. Full details on the Little Kids page.

Big Kids and Teens

This is where the art arrives in earnest: kicks, forms, controlled sparring for experienced students, and the discipline of training for gradings. It’s also where parents see the school-age payoffs: focus, resilience, respect, and our bullyproofing approach to handling schoolyard conflict. Details on the Big Kids page, and the developmental case at why children should learn martial arts.

Adults

Adults train the same traditional curriculum with the intensity turned to fit. Some come for fitness that beats the treadmill, some for self defence, some because they watched their kids for a year and got jealous. Beginners are the norm. The belt ladder doesn’t care how old you are, only how consistently you show up.

Gradings and the belt pathway

Progress in our school is earned, visible and worn around the waist. Gradings run regularly through the year, each one a goal that teaches kids (and adults) how to work toward something for months and perform under pressure. From white belt to black, under the eye of 6th Dan Master Mesut and our certified instructors; meet them on the about page.

FAQ (Programs)

How do I know which program suits my child? Age sets the starting point and our instructors fine-tune from there at the trial class. Kids are placed where they’ll be challenged but not overwhelmed.

How often are gradings held? Regularly through the year. Students grade when they’re ready, not on a conveyor belt; instructors confirm readiness beforehand. [confirm grading frequency]

Can adults with old injuries train? Usually yes, with technique scaled around the injury. Tell the instructor at your first class and train within your range.

How long does it take to reach black belt? Years, by design. Most dedicated students take several years of consistent training, which is exactly why it means something.
