About: The People Behind the Belts
A martial arts school is only ever as good as the person at the front of the room. Ours is led by Master Mesut, a 6th Dan taekwondo master, and a team of certified instructors who share one conviction: that traditional martial arts, taught with patience and high standards, changes the trajectory of a child.

Who is Master Mesut?
Master Mesut is a 6th Dan master, a rank that represents decades of training, teaching and grading under the traditional taekwondo system. Sixth Dan is not a participation milestone; it sits far up a ladder most practitioners never finish climbing, and it’s earned through years of demonstrated skill and service to the art.
What it means for your family is simpler: the person setting the standards in every class has spent a lifetime meeting them. Students like Enrique put it best: “My favourite time of the day is after work, training with Master Mesut. My focus and concentration has definitely improved.”
How we teach
Caring and patient, with standards that don’t bend. Those two things sound like opposites; in good teaching they’re the same thing. A nervous six-year-old gets warmth and time. A brown belt coasting on talent gets honesty. Every student gets instructors who are certified, consistent and genuinely invested, which is why families stay with us for years rather than terms.
The curriculum is traditional taekwondo, from first stance to black belt, structured through our programs: Little Kids foundations, Big Kids and adults training the full art.
What we believe martial arts is for
Not trophies. Not aggression. We believe martial arts exists to build people: disciplined, respectful, confident people who can defend themselves and rarely need to. That’s why bullyproofing sits at the centre of our kids’ teaching, and why respect (bowing, listening, learning from leaders) is non-negotiable on our floor. The long version is at why children should learn martial arts.
A local school, deliberately
We teach in school halls and community venues across the south west (all locations here) because we’d rather be ten minutes from a thousand families than a forty-minute drive from everyone. No joining fee, a free first class, and instructors your kids will still mention a decade from now. Come meet us: book a trial or call 0413 146 301.
